Accessibility
Global standards for web content accessibility were released by
the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in May 1999. The W3C guidelines
set a benchmark for all websites and has been incorporated into
the Advisory Notes prepared by the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity
Commission of Australia.
According to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) approximately
10% of the worlds population has some form of disability. Poor eyesight,
loss of hearing, poor cognitive and neurological ability all effect
the user's experience on your website.
Every day the web replaces traditional sources of information such
as libraries, schools and printed materials, making accessibility
a key issue for Australian organisations.
Onlinefactor can audit your website against W3C guidelines and
ensure your site complies to the recommended standards during a
build or redesign.
